GitX is an interesting and innovative Google Chrome extension that aims to change that by providing GitHub users with the ability to add private notes, comments, ideas in the Issues and pull requests pages. GitX private notes – a nice productivity solution for GitHub Of course, the basic task management tools and wikis that GitHub provides may be enough for some, but more often than now, developers usually resort to other mediums to discuss the future evolution of their GitHub projects. Please, for the love of all things holy, go to any other school besides this wretched place.GitHub users who’ve already learned the repository hosting service’s ecosystem know that the platform is not exactly well-equipped when it comes to collaboration features. Every student I've talked to there HATES it, absolutely hates it, and this is from top-tier students all the way down. For such a small school, they aren't sure what's going on: my financial aid information and my transcripts were "misplaced" twice and my health records had to be sent in three times. Also, the internet and wifi is spotty at best and the library is almost useless with its lack of needed texts or magazines. Professors and advisors alike actively discourage students from going above-and-beyond and do not have any programs in place for excelling students. The school seems proud to be an accredited business school, but that does not reflect in the coursework. It's vaporware, despite what Cuomo and SUNY PI tout. Two years later and there is still nothing going on in there. The nano building was supposed to open fall of 2013 and there was all this promise of integrating nano into the curriculums I'm on campus and I have no idea what that plan is. The professors do not care about their students and Nearly everyone on campus acts like they are doing you a favor when they do their job. Mine didn't apply my transfer credits for over a year, he didn't want to meet with me, and he barred me from a required class three times for which I had the pre-reqs. "If I can save but one soul from going to this excuse of a college, I will not have lived in vain! The advisors here are absolutely horrible and make decisions, that affect your life, with reckless abandon. SUNY Polytechnic Institute is a great university where you can most definitely apply your skills and knowledge, which also encourages you to make and build connections." So, you'll be able to apply your skills and knowledge when it comes to participating/getting involved with any of the events at the university, as well as building more into your skills and knowledge. I also used some of my skills and knowledge for the events and present them to a lot of faculty members from the school and also the community, and several peers of mine. I connected with some of my peers, connected with some of my professors, get to meet people and connect with them. The more people in your connection, the better chance you'll get hired for a job, knowing that you work well with people! There are benefits into getting involved, and I most certainly have gotten involved with the three events I mentioned. Working with peers, faculty, and professors is not only a great way to build teamwork skills but will also help build connections with them. I know that many students don't want to get involved with the universities and/or schools in general but they should really know that it is definitely 100% beneficial to get involved, you will stand out in your own way with your peers. ![]() I've just happened to know of these three because I wasn't really too involved, too inclined to know about what events the university was having. Although, there are more events from just those. SUNY Polytechnic Institute offers creative ways for students to build their skills in events as the Student Project Showcase, Mohawk Mini Maker Faire, and Innovation Challenge New York. You will not only have just the knowledge, but also the skill. The Business Administration undergraduate program and the many other undergraduate programs at SUNY Polytechnic Institute provide courses that really do help students prepare for the jobs that they will be looking for in the meantime of their academics. SUNY Polytechnic Institute offers many majors and I decided to pursue my education in Business Administration. It really is such a friendly environment university. To me, the university is such a great place to be at. "I am currently a graduate student and I recently graduated with my Bachelor's Degree at SUNY Polytechnic Institute. ![]()
